Grande Prairie
Grande Prairie [ gɹænd pɹɛɹi ː ] is the largest city in the northwestern part of Alberta, Canada. It is located 460 km northwest of Edmonton and is within the Grande Prairie County No.. 1, belongs administratively but not so. Grande Prairie is located not far from the Rocky Mountains in a transition zone between prairie and boreal forest.
Economy
The main sectors of the economy consist of oil and gas production, agriculture and forestry, line service areas, tourism and administrative activities. By Grande Prairie CANAMEX the important trade route runs (also known as CANAMEX Corridor ). This connects Canada through the U.S. to Mexico.
