Grande Roue de Paris

The Paris Ferris Wheel was an occasion of the Universal Exhibition Paris 1900 in 1900 in Paris ( Avenue de Suffren ) built Ferris wheel with diameter of 100 meters. It was until 1937 in operation, it was dismantled to make way for the Village Suisse, where today 150 antique shops, decorators and galleries.

The Paris Ferris Wheel was the largest in the world during its entire period of operation. It took until the 1980s, until a similarly large Ferris wheel was built. 2000-2003 then got the Roue de Paris in the Tuileries.
