Granule (cell biology)

Granules are clearly visible under the microscope, granular inclusions in biological cells, the most memory or secretions contain substances (eg, glycogen, lipid, protein, ferritin or pigment granules ). They are surrounded by a non - unit membrane, which excludes the Granulainhalt from the cytoplasm. They can be based on their stainability in acidophilic, azurophilic, chromaffin differ basophil, eosinophil, neutrophil and metachromatic.

The release of granules from the cells is called degranulation.
