Geographical Location

Grassau located in Southeast Upper Bavaria in the Chiemgau in Achen valley south of Lake Chiemsee.

The nearest motorway is the Federal Highway 8 (Munich - Salzburg). The nearest train station is located overseas.

History

The since at least 1259 Bavarian village belonged to Rentamt Burghausen and the district court Marquartstein of the Electorate of Bavaria.
