Gravastar

A Gravastern or quasi Blackhole Object ( QBHO ) is a hypothetical celestial object. The origin of the English name " Gravastar " means gravitational vacuum STAR.

According to a theory by Pawel Mazur and Emil Mottola is a very massive star do not develop into a black hole, but would become a Gravastern. For a black hole the star collapses under its own weight, forming a mathematically describable, punctate singularity. On the other hand is assumed in the Gravastern theory that the star collapses only up to a certain limit. In theory, should give rise to quantum effects a kind of phase transition in space-time, thereby further reducing the star is halted.

Mazur and Mottola have suggested that the Gravasterntheorie represents a solution to the information paradox of black holes and could be that Gravasterne sources of gamma-ray bursts. From the outside, a Gravastern appears similar to a black hole - it is only to be discovered by high-energy radiation that is produced by impinging matter. Inside the Gravasterns a bubble of dark energy generates the required stability backpressure. The super massive wall of this bubble is the source of gravity of the Gravasterns.

Also, even a whole Gravastern universe was mentioned in this theory. This would in fact also an explanation for dark energy. This universe would, however, contain small eddies in the space-time or rotate.

The Gravastern theory is generally met with little interest, as it is based on a very speculative form of quantum gravity and has no real advantage over the theory of black holes. Furthermore, there is from the perspective of quantum gravity is not a good ground that the space in the way to behave, as Mazur and Mottola accept it.
