Gravona

Riverside

The Gravona is a river in France, which runs in the department of Corse- du- Sud on the island of Corsica. It arises under the name Ruisseau de Capiajola in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, on the east flank of Mount Renoso ( 2352 m), in the municipality of Bocognano, drained in the upper course in a northwesterly direction, then turns to the southwest and ends after 46 kilometers of the municipal boundary of Bastelicaccia and Ajaccio as a right tributary to the Prunelli, the short time you reach the Mediterranean Sea. Above the village Castellucciu the Gravona is dammed and drained water for the supply of Ajaccio in an aqueduct.

Traffic
