Great Bear River

The Great Bear River (English Great Bear River; French Grande rivière de l'Ours, Slavey Sahtúdé ) is a 113 km long river in the Canadian territory of Northwest Territories.

The river has its origin as the main drainage of the Great Bear Lake in the village of Deline. From there, the river course is directed through the marshes to the west and ends at Tulita in the Mackenzie River.

During the summer the river is ice-free for four months and is at this time an important transportation facility within the Northwest Territories dar. The river has an irregular meandering and an average depth of six meters.
