Great Dubai Wheel

The Dubai Wheel ( also Great Dubai Wheel) to be the largest Ferris wheel in the world. It is currently under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and should be completed in 2009. The construction of Dubailand has been halted since mid-2009.

The attraction is situated in the currently emerging theme park Dubailand and is designed and built by the Dutch company Hollandia, which already built the London Eye. From the 30 enclosed gondolas of the Ferris wheel, which is expected to reach 185 meters above the ground, guests will ( to haze -free days ) views have up to 50 kilometers wide.

The Dubai Wheel will / would distance vision attraction competes from the observation deck of Burj Khalifa, opened in 2010, because it is in 452 m height and in more central position to the sights of Dubai.
