Great Kei Local Municipality
The Great Kei Municipality is part of the district Amathole, Eastern Cape Province in South Africa. Covering an area of 1736 km ² live 44,450 inhabitants ( 2001). The administrative center is Komga.
The community name is on the Great Kei River. The Khoi word Kei means " sand ". The " big sandy river " is the largest river in the community.
