Great Manchester Run
The Great Manchester Run is a road race over 10 km, which takes place in Manchester since 2003. He is like the Great North Run and the Great South Run to the Great Run series of Nova International Limited and is one of the most popular running events in the UK.
2009, the event through the Great City Games was supplemented, for a straight 150 - meter track was designed. At the Great City Games Manchester 2010, the American Tyson Gay broke with 19.41 s 44 -year-old world record of Tommie Smith ( 19.5 s ) for a 200 -meter run in a straight line.
Route
The course starts in the city center on the Portland Street, leads southwest to Old Trafford Stadium and ends in the city center on the Deansgate.
