Greater pancreatic artery

The artery pancreatica magna ( " large pancreatic artery ") is an artery of the abdominal cavity. It rises about from the center of the splenic artery ( artery splenic ) and draws on the rear surface of the pancreas in the body of this organ. There it branches and anastomoses around the tail of the pancreas with the artery pancreatica inferior.
