Grebs-Niendorf

Grebs - Niendorf is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Doemitz - Malliß with headquarters in the city Doemitz.

Geography

The municipality is located in the semolina area on the northern edge of an end moraine. The area around Grebs - Niendorf is between the Rögnitz and the Eldekanal. The highest point in the municipality is the gallows at Schlesin 42.3 m above sea level. NN, Wies lowlands of Rögnitz have a height of about 20 m above sea level. NN. Grebs - Niendorf is characterized by extensive pine forests south of Schlesinger and south of Niendorf at the Rögnitz and the meadow area to the Rögnitz.

History

First settlement instructions are available with a Slavic fortress on the northern boundary of the municipality to Leussow at Menkendorf that from the time between 900 and 1200 stammt.Grabungen have shown that a castle enclosing wall was built from a wood - earth construction. This rises still clear from the premises. The place Niendorf was first mentioned in 1431 as Neyedorp, Grebs in 1285 documented as Grebece. The formerly independent municipalities Grebs and Niendorf at the Rögnitz joined on 13 June 2004 together with the new community Grebs - Niendorf.

The evangelical Christians in Grebs - Niendorf belong to the parish Conow the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mecklenburg, in Niendorf, there is a small chapel. On the Catholic side Grebs - Niendorf part of the territory of the parish of Mary Queen of the Rosary to Doemitz, Archdiocese of Hamburg.

  • The Jugendhof Mullewapp eV can be used for school camp -like rides. There is also the Theatre Barn Mullewapp, which is used for both performances, as well as a rehearsal stage.
  • The Non-profit home and museum association Grebs and environment eV was founded on 21 April 1995 and has the care of rural heritage and the use of home barn as a museum of traditional agricultural technology as a club goals.
  • Traditional harvest crowns are in the harvest crowns GmbH annually for Thanksgiving time bound, which are then exhibited and evaluated. With decorated floats and costumes in ancient harvest festivals are visited in other places.

Traffic
