The parliamentary elections in Greece in 1981 took place on 18 October 1981. It was the third free parliamentary elections since the end of the Greek military dictatorship from 1967 to 1974. In parallel, this was the first European elections in Greece instead.

They provided a defeat of the incumbent conservatives in seven years and a victory for the Social Democrats under Andreas Papandreou with an absolute majority. The Communists were able to move as a third party in the parliament. The Center Union fell from 12 % (1977 ) from 0.4 %.

Results

All other parties reached less than 0.2 %.
