Green Park

Green Park ( officially The Green Park, English for "The Green Park " ) is one of the Royal Parks in London. He was originally a swampy burial ground for lepers. 1668, King Charles II expose here deer, so that the site could serve as a hunting ground.

The park is located between Hyde Park to the west and St. James 's Park in the east. Together with Kensington Gardens, these parks on a four kilometer long, interrupted only by a few roads slice of greenery in the center of London.

In contrast to the neighboring parks of Green Park had until 2012 no statues, fountains and lakes, but it consists of a lined, wooded meadow. Since 2012, it houses the memorial of the RAF Bomber Command. In the north of the park is bordered by the road Piccadilly on the south by the road Constitution Hill ( with the Buckingham Palace on the opposite side ).

The station is Green Park London Underground, where trains on the Jubilee Line, the Piccadilly Line and the Victoria Line at the northeast corner of the triangular park.
