Green Township is one of 16 townships of Brown County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 3389 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Green Township is located in the northwest of Brown County in southwest Ohio, is in the south about 30 km from the Ohio River, which forms the natural border with Kentucky, bordered clockwise to the townships: Perry Township, Salem Township, Highland County, Clay Township ( Highland County), Washington Township, Pike Township and Sterling Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
