Greenfield Festival
The Greenfield Festival is a three day music festival that took place in 2005 for the first time. The venue is the airfield of Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. Occur annually around 40 bands on the Greenfield Festival.
Due to the German origin of the organizer in 2005 Swiss Festival organizers had called for a boycott of the festival. They were of the opinion that Switzerland had enough festivals and foreign organizers are undesirable. With a budget of around 5.5 million Swiss francs, Greenfield is the most expensive festival on Swiss soil.
Other festivals of the organizer FKP Scorpio as Southside and Hurricane Festival are a partner festival. The bands booked there often occur in Interlaken.
