Greensburg is a city in Kiowa County in the U.S. state of Kansas in the United States with 1,574 inhabitants ( 2000). It is the seat of Kiowa County. The site has an area of 3.9 km2 and is located in the so-called Bible Belt of the United States. Gained international recognition Greensburg by a severe tornado that devastated around 95 percent of the town on May 4, 2007. In this case, eight people were killed and destroyed all the churches.

Attractions

In Greensburg is the largest hand -dug wells. Work has begun in 1887. Tornado in May 2007
