Geography

The County is located in northwestern South Carolina, is bordered to the north by North Carolina and has an area of ​​2059 square kilometers, of which 13 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Transylvania County (North Carolina ), Henderson County ( North Carolina), Polk County ( North Carolina), Spartanburg County, Laurens County, Abbeville County, Anderson County and Pickens County.
