Greenville Township is one of 20 townships of Darke County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 18.125 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Greenville Township is located in the geographic center of the Darke County in western Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Brown Township, Richland Township, Adams Township, Van Buren Township, Neave Township, Liberty Township, Washington Township and Jackson Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
