Greg Gisbert

Gregory " Greg" Gisbert ( born February 2, 1966 in Mobile, Alabama) is an American jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player of modern jazz.

Gisbert worked in the 1980s and 1990s in the big bands of Buddy Rich and Woody Herman, among other things, then played Gary Smulyan, Dave Grusin, Ken Peplowski, Scott Hamilton, Tim Ries and in the big band of Maria Schneider, where he worked on the album " Evanescence " by 1992. In the 1990s he worked as a freelance musician in the New York area and took in this period, several albums under his own name, where musicians such as Chris Potter, Billy Drummond, Conrad Herwig, Jon Gordon, and Tim Ries participated. In 2011 he worked at Ryan True Dells Centennial - with Newly Discovered Works of Gil Evans. His models are Clark Terry, Thad Jones and Tom Harrell.
