Greg Nemisz

Greg Nemisz ( born June 5, 1990 in Courtice, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who stands in July 2009 with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team, the Abbotsford Heat in the American Hockey League on plays the position of center.

Career

Nemisz was in the OHL Priority Selection selected in 2006 ranked seventh of the Windsor Spitfires and played in the next four years for the Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League. During this time he won with his team twice each the J. Ross Robertson Cup and the Memorial Cup. Nemsiz was elected in 2009 to the Second All- Star Team in 2010 and the Third All- Star Team of the OHL. In 2008 he participated in the CHL Top Prospects Game before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 to 25 out of the Calgary Flames, he took part in 2008.

In July 2009 he signed a contract with the Flames and completed in the 2010/11 season 68 games for the Abbotsford Heat, the farm team of the Flames, in the American Hockey League. In March 2011 he made his debut in the National Hockey League.

Internationally

For Canada Nemisz took part in the 2008 U18 World Junior Championship, where he won the gold medal with his team. He was also part of the Canadian selection that won the silver medal at the U20 World Youth Championship 2010.
