Greg Scott (ice hockey)

Greg Scott ( born June 3, 1988 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in Brynäs IF from the Svenska Hockey ligands under contract.

Career

Greg Scott played from 2004 to 2005 for Victoria Salsa in the British Columbia Hockey League. For the season 2005/ 06 he moved to the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League. Over the next four seasons, he was always the top team regular, scoring in the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 on 80 points. Scott, who was never drafted, received the 2008 WHL Plus -Minus Award for best plus / minus balance of all WHL players with 40

In the 2009/10 season he played for the Toronto Marlies, the farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs, in the American Hockey League. After Andre Deveaux and Viktor Stålberg he was the third-best scorer with 32 points of the Toronto Marlies. In the same season, Scott came to some inserts for the Reading Royals in the ECHL. In September 2010 he took part in the training camp of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he was sent back to the Toronto Marlies on 27 September 2010.
