Gregg Bissonette

Gregg Bissonette ( born June 9, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American drummer.

Career

Gregg grew up in a musical family, his father Bud plays drums, his mother Phyllis piano and vibraphone and his younger brother Matt Bissonette Bass.

With five years Gregg drums began to learn from his father. Later he studied at the University of North Texas. In 1982, he moved to Los Angeles, where he played with trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, later in Brandon Field's band with John Patitucci. In 1985 he toured with David Lee Roth. He worked with the Buddy Rich Big Band, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, Toto, Don Henley, James Taylor, Brian Setzer, Steve Stevens, Carlos Santana ( album " Supernatural" ) and recorded several solo albums.

In 2003 he accompanied Ringo Starr with his brother Matt on a U.S. tour.

Furthermore, he played among others in the movie The Devil Wears Prada drums.
