Gregor Amann

Gregor Amann ( born August 15, 1962 in Ravensburg, Germany ) is a German politician ( SPD).

Education and work

Amann is a member of the SPD since 1988. In 2000 and from 2005 until his resignation after the lost 2009 federal election he was a member of the board of the SPD sub-district of Frankfurt am Main. From 2005 to 2009, Amann was a member of the German Bundestag. He was with 39.8 % of the primary vote directly elected representative of the constituency 183 (Frankfurt am Main I).

In the 2009 federal election Gregor Amann lost his direct mandate to the CDU politician Matthias room.

As a member of the Bundestag Gregor Amann was a member of the Committee on Labour and Social Development and Economic Cooperation and the Committee on Petitions. In the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs, he was responsible Rapporteur on the topics pension, retirement and old age poverty for the SPD group.
