Gregorio Juárez

Gregorio Juárez Sacasa ( born May 9, 1800 Leon, Nicaragua; † September 21, 1879 ibid ) was a member of Duumvirs that until November 15, 1857 was the head of state of Nicaragua from 19 October.

Life

Gregorio Juárez Sacasa visited Leon in the Convento de San Francisco. With the decree of 7 September 1829, the government took the religious orders the jurisitische person. The Decree of 8 January 1830, the monasteries named Convento de San Francisco, La Merced and La Recolección were abolished in Leon in Article 1. He studied medicine, pharmacy, mathematics. He was member of Parliament for the Partido Democrático (Nicaragua ).

Mayor of Leon and diplomat.

1848 negotiated Gregorio Juárez with Felipe Francisco Molina y Bedoya on the border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Nicoya. On 22 April 1850 Gregorio Juárez Sacasa was elected as a deputy in the delegation of Nicaragua in the Representación Centroamericana.

In 1870 he was judge at the Supreme Court of Appeals in Nicaragua.
