Grenada Lake

The Grenada Lake is a reservoir of the Yalobusha River in the north of the U.S. state of Mississippi. He is one of four reservoirs that were built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to regulate the water level in the basin of the Yazoo River. The dam is located about 5 km northeast of the city of Grenada, the main town of the eponymous County.

In 1954 was started the construction work for the dam. It is part of the Mississippi River Basin Flood Control Project, which is developed from the experience of the flood of 1927.

On the shores of Grenada Lake, there are two state parks, the Carver Point State Park and Hugh White State Park.
