Gréta Arn
Greta Arn ( born April 13, 1979 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian tennis player who also has the German nationality. She lives in Budapest and Rome.
Career
Arn represented by 2007 and entered Germany since 2008 for Hungary. She played three times in the Fed Cup for Hungary, won nine times, lost seven times. Arn failed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with her compatriot Ágnes Szávay in the first round of Ayumi Morita and Ai Sugiyama.
Her first WTA tournament victory celebrated in May 2007 in the clay tournament in Estoril, where she started as a qualifier. In the final, she defeated Wiktoryja Azarenka in the tiebreak of the third set. At Wimbledon, she reached in 2010 also as a qualifier the third round, where she defeated Marion Bartoli in straight sets. On January 8, 2011 Arn won her second title on the WTA Tour. In Auckland, New Zealand won the final against defending champion Yanina Wickmayer 6-3 6-3. Previously, she had in the quarter finals with the favorite Maria Sharapova defeated a top 20 player for the first time.
In the " high " Tennis the age of 32 in 2011 Arn played their most successful season. After a 3:6, 7:6, 7:6 victory over Svetlana Kuznetsova reached Rome in the fifth quarter-finals of the current season and made the jump to position 40 in the world rankings. At the Australian Open Arn pulled first time in 2002 in the third round one, a year later she could reach the main round of the qualifiers.
