Gretchen Fraser

Gretchen Fraser ( born February 11, 1919 in Tacoma, Washington, USA, † February 17, 1994 in Sun Valley, Idaho, native Gretchen Kunigk ) was an American alpine skier.

She won at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz, which also included a World Championships gold medal in the slalom. This made her the first American woman in alpine skiing, who won a gold medal in the skiing. In combination, they won the silver medal. In the 1930s and 1940s, she worked as a ski stunt woman.
