Grete Nordrå

Grete Kristine Nordrå ( born November 22, 1924 in Asker, Norway, † March 13, 2012 in Bergen ) was a Norwegian actress. Nordrå had a long career as a theater and film actress and was best known for her role as a mother in the film Elling Elling - Not without my mother ( Mors Elling ), and as Anna Neshov in the television series Berlinerpoplene.

Biography

Nordrå debuted in 1949 as a dancer in Edderkoppen Teater in Oslo and then she performed at the Chat Noir Theatre. In 1952 she debuted as an actress at the Folketeatret in Oslo, where she worked until 1959. From 1961 played at Oslo Nye Teater.Siden and the same year she moved to Trøndelag Teater still in Trondheim, where she remained until 1968. She then went to Oslo to the Det norske teatret until 1974. Between 1974 and 1976, she then appeared as an actress at the Teatret Vårt in Møre og Romsdal and 1976-1982 in Rogaland Teater in Stavanger. In 1982, she began on Den Nationale Scene Theatre to play in Bergen, where she was for 20 years. Nordrå also had various roles in the open-air theater performances Spelet om Heilag Olav ( Festival for the Holy Olaf ) in Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag and in the historical drama Kristkongane på Moster ( Christ the King in Moster ) in the Mostraspelet ( Moster Festival ) on the island Moster in Hordaland.

In the feature film Nordrå had her first role in 1955 in consolation i taklampa. Overall Nordrå worked since then in several films and television productions in various roles as an actress with, among others, in Ni liv, Hustruer, Medmenneske, Lars i porten, Elling - Not without my mother and Berlinerpoplene.

Nordrå 2003 was appointed by King Harald V knighted 1st class of the St. Olav's Order, " for their contribution to Norwegian Theatre ".
