Gricignano di Aversa

Gricignano di Aversa is a town ( comune ) with 11,087 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located about 13 kilometers southwest of Caserta, about 15 kilometers north of Naples.

Economy and Transport

Agriculture dominates the local situation. The municipality is situated on the Strada Statale 7 bis ( variant) di Terra di Lavoro. The former Strada Statale 265 dei Ponti della Valle leads now as Provincial Road 335 to Gricignano around. A station ( Gricignano - Teverola ) is, together with the neighboring community Teverola on the railway line from Naples to Foggia. The U.S. Navy has a base here.
