Griesheim-sur-Souffel

Griesheim- sur- Souffel (German Griesheim) is a municipality with 1144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. Griesheim is located in the Upper Rhine Valley surrounded by fields and a creek Souffel (German: Suffel ), on the northwestern outskirts of Strasbourg. From Griesheim to the center of the Alsatian capital, there are about seven kilometers.

The building is in the north directly into the neighboring municipality Pfulgriesheim. The neighboring towns in the south ( ie towards the city ) are Niederhausbergen and Oberhausbergen. The only over the local road running from Strasbourg to the north-west secondary road D31 runs along the eastern border of Griesheim.

As in many suburban communities on the outskirts of large cities also Griesheim is characterized by a rural, rural village and adjacent thereto, suburban home estates for commuters.
