The Griffith University is a university in Brisbane in the Australian state of Queensland.
The university was founded in 1971. It is named after Samuel Griffith ( 1845-1920 ). The associated Queensland College of Art in Brisbane was founded in 1881, the Queensland Conservatorium in 1957.
The college is spread over 40 research centers around the headquarters Nathan and Gold Coast locations, Mount Gravatt, Logan, Queensland Conservatorium (South Bank), Queensland College of the Art (South Bank).
