Grins

Grins is a municipality with 1391 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Landeck, in Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Landeck.

Geography

Grins is located above the Landecker pool in the punch valley at the western end of a terrace above the river Sanna (as the confluence of Rosanna and Trisanna ). The scattered village lies at the foot of the 3036 m high Parseierspitze.

The districts are Grins, Innerdorf, Out of village, Fals, Tass eggs, Graf, Gurnau, Grist, Ochsenberg, Pazol, Gmar ( since 2000).

The neighboring municipalities loud Landeck, Pians, punching in Landeck, austerities, Tobadill, Zams.

History

Grins was colonized because of its sunny climate, even in prehistoric times, as finds from the Neolithic Age ( about 2000 BC) show. First mentioned was the place in 1288 " scall ".
