Grischa Niermann

Grisha Niermann ( born November 3, 1975 in Hannover ) is a former German cyclist and coach of a cycling team.

Sports career

Since 1999, Grisha Niermann rode for the Dutch team Rabobank; he was considered a good time trialist. From 2000 to 2004 he played for the Rabobank Tour de France. In 2007, he started again in the Tour de France, where he graduated as 86th in the overall standings. In the years 2009, 2010 and 2011, he was nominated again for the tour. After the Vuelta a España 2012, he finished his career in order to then work on the coaching staff of the Rabobank Continental team, the junior team of Rabobank Cycling Team.

Doping

In January 2013 Grisha Niermann admitted to have doped 2000-2003 " several times " with EPO. He said that he would provide all the details and information of the Dutch anti - doping commission. Niermann was then driving for Dutch team Rabobank. With effect from February 15, 2013 Niermann was, employed since January 1, 2013 in the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Unie Wielren ( KNWU ) as a youth coach, suspended for six months as a trainer.
