Gro Kvinlog

Gro Kvinlog Genlid ( born June 8, 1976 in Gjøvik ) is a Norwegian former alpine skier and Skicrosserin.

Alpine skiing

Kvinlogs strongest discipline was the giant slalom, in addition they also launched in the Super -G and Downhill. As a teenager, she participated in the Ski Junior World Championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995, where they reached a total of three placings in the top ten. Best results in the Norwegian was the fourth place in the giant slalom in 1995.

The Alpine Ski World Cup Kvinlog scored for the first time in December 1993 with 28th place in the giant slalom of Tignes. The following year, she reached the giant slalom in Park City and Vail each seventh and finished in the discipline rating of season 1994 /95, the 13th place. After that she could not repeat this performance, came to the end of 1996 an injury. After her comeback reach Kvinlog in giant slalom World Cup results no longer unique in their last World Cup season 2000/2001 they scored once each in downhill and super -G.

2001 to 2005 studied Gro Kvinlog Art at Sierra Nevada College ( SNC) in the United States. In addition, she reinforced the ski team of SNC in national college championships.

Ski Cross

In America Kvinlog came to ski cross. Her first success in this freestyle discipline were 7th place at the FIS World Championships 2005 in Ruka and the silver medal at the X Games in 2006. Afterwards she paused and was mother to the World Cup, she returned in early 2008. Kvinlogs best result so far is a third rank in March 2008, to seven more placements come in the top ten. In Vancouver 2010, she started for the first time in the Olympic Games, but had to settle for 27th place.
