Grob G 120TP

The Grob G 120TP is a two-seat, single-engine aerobatic aircraft the Grob Aircraft AG Tussenhausen - Mattsies.

History

At ILA 2010 in Berlin presented coarse before the development of the G 120A, the G 120TP. The G 120TP has been created as a training aircraft for the military Pilotenaus and further training. After its maiden flight on 25 May 2010 the development to the production stage and finally the Type Approval by the EASA in May 2013.

Construction

The G 120TP is made like all aircraft manufacturer Grob from fiber composite material. The body is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, the bearing surfaces are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. Intended as a variant of the G 120A, the G 120TP was, however, almost new developed during the design phase so that an independent aircraft has been created that is no longer comparable to the G 120A.

Technology

In addition to the base-analog configuration, the G 120TP IDU -680 features a glass cockpit, consisting of four Cobham with 3D Synthetic Vision. The seats are still arranged in side-by- side configuration in order to train alongside future jet pilots and trainee pilots for transport aircraft and rotorcraft optimally. The 6 to -4 g g aerobatic training aircraft is powered by a Rolls- Royce Allison turboprop - M250 - B17F engine with a 5-blade constant speed propeller with a diameter of 2.1 m from the house MT-Propeller driven.
