Groove Armada

The Groove Armada is a disco, funk and house music group from Cambridge, England, which was founded in the mid-1990s. The band consists mainly of the two " masterminds " Andy Cato and Tom Findlay and changing studio musicians. But the results of guest appearances of various pop stars such as Neneh Cherry, one finds again on their plates.

Band History

As in 1994, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato met, they both realized their musical preferences for funk, jazz, disco and house. 1999 appeared the party album Vertigo. In 2001, their third album on the market, which bears the name Goodbye Country ( Hello Nightclub ). Thus they hoped a somewhat greater success, but only with their next album Lovebox (2002 ) was followed. The album Soundboy rock (2007 ), extended with hip hop, reggae and pop their musical horizons. Thus they did not try to commit to a particular style of music.

Her most famous title is the international hit I See You Baby in 2000 which was remixed by Fatboy Slim and used in a Renault Mégane advertising. Others thought the theme from the "Sex and the City" -type tension and a number of remixes of foreign songs.

The song Hands of Time from the album Lovebox was used in the movie "Collateral " with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. The song can also be found on the corresponding soundtrack to the film.

In the summer of 2007, the single song 4 Mutya came out in cooperation with the former Sugababes member Mutya Buena.
