Gross Fiescherhorn

The Big Fiescherhorn called in older literature also large Fiescherhorn, is 4,049 meters above sea level. M. the highest peak of the three Fiescherhörner in the Bernese Alps. Location

The area around the Fiescherhörner is completely surrounded by glaciers. To the north stretches the Ischmeer, in the east of the Valais Fiescherfirn and the south and west the Ewigschneefäld. Adjacent mountains are in the west, separated by the Unders Mönschsjoch, situated on 3523 meters above sea level, the 4107 meter high monk, immediately adjacent to the east lies the burr profile of Ochs or the Small Fiescherhorn, in the south, separated by the Fieschersattel ( 3923 m), the Behind Fiescherhorn and more small or large green horn with 3913 and 4044 meters above sea level.
