Großfeldsiedlung (Vienna U-Bahn)

The station Großfeldsiedlung is an underground station of the Vienna U -Bahn line U1 in the 21st district of Vienna Floridsdorf. It is located directly under the Kürschnergasse and extends between Dopschstraße and Gitlbauergasse. The eponymous for the station Gemeindebauanlage Großfeldsiedlung and Großfeldstraße were named the large or long field in the 1960s after the former field names.

The station was opened on 2 September 2006 with the commissioning of the so far last section of the U1 between stations Kagran and Leopoldau. From the central platform can be reached by elevators and stairs fixed to Dopschstraße or Gitlbauergasse.

It offers connecting flights to the bus lines 28A and 29A in the direction Floridsdorf station. In the immediate vicinity of the station is the Großfeldsiedllung, a 1966-1973 erected council with around 30,000 inhabitants.
