Groupes d'Intervention de la Police Nationale
The Groupes d'Intervention de la Police Nationale ( GIPN ) are special units of the Police nationale in France. The unit was established in 1972 in response to the kidnapping of Munich.
Use
They are used in extreme violence, terrorist attacks, mutinies in prison, the arrest of persons who are considered extremely dangerous, or hostage-taking. Needs to be included in the unit you have completed at least 5 years of service. The maximum age is 35 years ( officers 38 years old). Aspirants will be once a year at the Direction du régional et de la formation recrutement invited. There the physical, mental and technical skills acquired during a selection week and those aspirants screened who do not achieve these skills.
