Although Ulf Kubanke of laut.de criticized the selection of some of inferior pieces, but praised the stylistic range of the compilation. Helen Brown of the Daily Telegraph pulls Grrr! of ten years earlier published compilation Forty Licks ago.

Walton Ford looked at the negative voices of some Rolling Stones fans who did not like the album cover, exposed and defended himself against this by saying: " A lot of people liked it not at all. [ ...] I was glad that they did not like it. I mean, the last people I wanted to satisfy, were Rolling Stones fans. [ ... ] They are really vicious. It is a general rule that they have a fan base that just always seems to be upset about the Rolling Stones for many reasons. [ ... ] [A] ls the Rolling Stones have done their best work, they were ahead of the people she loved so much, take a step. I thought, How cool that I get the opportunity to piss their fans? ' "
