Gruemberger (crater)

Gruemberger is an impact crater in the extreme south of the lunar front side, to the west of the crater Curtius and northwest of Moretus. The rim is very badly eroded, part of the north- east is overlain by the smaller crater Cysatus. The crater interior is heavily rutted.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German Jesuit and astronomer Christoph Grienberger.
