Grumello del Monte

Grumello del Monte is a municipality in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy with 7351 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).


Grumello del Monte is situated 15 km southeast of the provincial capital of Bergamo and 60 km northeast of the city of Milan.

The neighboring municipalities are Carobbio degli Angeli, Castelli Calepio, Chiuduno, Gandosso, Palazzolo sull'Oglio (BS) and Telgate.


The origins of the church date back to the time of the Romans. The place name comes from the Latin word " Grumus " - " The Hill ".
