Grumman F2F

The Grumman F2F was a fighter aircraft of the U.S. aircraft manufacturer Grumman Aerospace Corporation.

The single-engine biplane with a fixed landing gear was the standard fighter aircraft of the U.S. Navy by 1935 1940., The aircraft could be used by both fixed airfields as well as from aircraft carriers.

The aircraft was created when the U.S. Navy Grumman commissioned the development of a single-seat version of the Grumman FF. The contract was signed on November 2, 1932, and eleven months later flew the Grumman F2F. And the similar F3F - - Due to the hull shape, the F2F were called " Grumman Flying Barrels " (flying barrels of Grumman ) refers.
