Grundzüge der Mengenlehre

Broad set theory is an influential and often-cited book of set theory and the magnum opus of Felix Hausdorff.

In the summer of 1912 he began working on the book, which was completed in Greifswald, where Hausdorff had been appointed for the summer semester 1913 as a full professor. It was released in April 1914 and was the first comprehensive introduction to set theory. In addition to research results and the systematic treatment of known set-theoretic tasks, the book also includes chapters on measure theory and topology, which still belonged at that time to set theory.

The book was reprinted several times, including in 1927, 1935 and 1965. A recent edition of Fundamentals of set theory exists by Springer Verlag in the year 2002.
