Grüner See (Hundelshausen)
The Green Lake is a 5,000 -square-foot pond at Hundelshausen, a district of Witzenhausen in the northern Hessian Werra- Meißner-Kreis.
The partially surrounded by steep slopes lake was made in 1940, when a plaster quarry filled with surface water.
The green color of the lake is due to its abundance of phytoplankton.
