Grunnelbach

The Grunnelbach flows from west of Oberzwehren coming through the historical center of Niederzwehren. In the east, he finally empties into the Fulda. Its catchment area is 24.143 km ².

The Grunnelbach is made up of Cancer, Dönche and Heise Bach and is sometimes accompanied by a bike path, the German fairy tale cycle trail. In the center of the Grunnelbach is channeled. Outside this range, the creek is lined by greenery and therefore has a locally significant recreational value.
