Grupo Financiero Banamex

Grupo Financiero Banamex ( Banamex GF; German: Banamex Financial Group ) is a group of companies in Mexico, which in August 2001 from the sale of Grupo Financiero Banamex - Accival ( " Banacci " ) emerged to Citigroup Inc..

The so-called " Banacci " was a group of investors founded by Banamex, as the stock market and investment firm ( Acciones y Valores = " Accival " ) acted. Responsible for the creation of Alfredo Harp Helú in 1991 and Roberto Hernández Ramírez, who after 2001 then became president of Grupo Financiero Banamex.

Following the acquisition of the " Banacci " in Citigroup, the traditional name was retained. The offer has since been expanded and the group of companies is represented worldwide in over 100 countries today. Apart from the Banamex bank itself Grupo Financiero Banamex belong to a stock exchange, insurance and Administradoras de Fondos para el Retiro Banamex.
