Gry (band)

Gry is an indie / electronic musician from Denmark. Under the same name existed from 1998 to 2002 a band. Its members included the Danish singer Gry Bagøien and the German musician FM Einheit ( ex-member of Einstürzende Neubauten).

The music of Gry can be described as electronic music with elements of trip-hop; with many loops and samples (also orchestral samples ).

History

Gry Bagøien started her musical career in which different bands. The most important among them was äter (1995 to 2001), with which she published in 1998 by Luftantænder and various CD -Rs.

Gry released her debut album The Touch Of E! in 1998. was followed by spectacular live shows in Europe and North America.

The Second Album Public Recording was produced in 2000 in the Royal Stables Theatre in Munich during a public performance. It involved many prominent guests: Alexander Hacke, Caspar Brötzmann, äter, Anatol Baginsky, Terra Nova, Pan Sonic, radio interference, Meret Becker, Chrislo Haas, and Sebastian Hess. The song Summer Wine this album, sung by Gry Bagøien and Alexander Hacke, a cover version of a song by Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra.

2002 left the band and Gry Gry Bagøien broke up, since then she has worked as a solo artist under the name Gry on.
