Grymov

Grymov ( German Grimsthal ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Přerov and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

The Moravian village street Grymov is on the left of the Bečva in Hanna.

Neighboring towns are Podolší, Hliníky and Osek nad Bečvou in the north, and Haltýře Oldřichov in the northeast, Sušice and Radslavice in the east, in the southeast Tučín, Kozlovice in the south, Michalov the southwest, Lýsky in the west and Prosenice and Proseničky in the northwest.

History

After the Josephine reforms, the parcelling of the Olomouc chapter related court Radslavice was decided on April 24, 1787 Castle Tršice.

Located northwest of the village Radlavice 24 Familia Tens Tellen were created. Eight of the settlers of the new village Grimsthal came from Radslavice, the other from the villages of the area. At Grimsthal the mill Hloží and the ferry Vrbovec were connected. The remaining areas of the court were assigned to the registers of Radslavice and Sušice and distributed to the subjects. The former Radslawitzer pond was drained and the pasture of the residents of Grimsthal. Until 1848 Grimsthal belonged to the Olomouc Cathedral Chapter and was the rule Tršice submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Grymov / Grimsthal formed in 1850 a district of the municipality in the district Radslavice Kroměříž. 1880 were allocated to the district Přerov. A ford and ferry Vrbovecer which were replaced in 1881 by the construction of the bridge across the river to Proseničky were at the bend of the Bečva. Gained its independence in 1882 Grymov. 1913 a connecting road from Grymov to the Strait of Radslavice was built by Prosenice, 1927, the continuation of the connector road over Grymov addition to Kozlovice. After the fields of Grymov were regularly flooded by the high waters of the Bečva and the great flood had caused great damage in 1880, a rate adjustment was made 1903-1905. The Grymover loop was dropped. Between 1974 and 1990 the city was incorporated again after Radslavice. Due to the flood of the century the Bečva 1997 Grymov also was affected.
